We'jitu Isidore (born around 1656 – died around 1769) was an important leader of the Mi'kmaq people. He was known as a Kji-Saqamaw, which means "Grand Chief." The Mi'kmaq are an Indigenous group who lived in areas that are now New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Quebec in Canada. We'jitu Isidore lived for a very long time, possibly reaching the age of 113 years.
