How Webb Started
Webb began in 1881. It was first a stop along the International-Great Northern Railroad. This railroad helped connect different places. The community got its name from Webb County, where it is located.
Webb's Post Office and Population
A post office opened in Webb in 1909. It stayed open for many years, even until 1980. In 1914, Webb had about 100 people living there. However, the number of residents later dropped. By 1936, only 25 people called Webb home.
