Webberville is a small village located in Travis County, Texas, in the United States. In 2020, about 394 people lived there.
The area where Webberville now stands has been settled since 1827. A retired doctor named John Ferdinand Webber officially started a community here in 1839. It was first called Webber's Prairie. Later, in 1853, its name was changed to Webberville. It officially became a village in February 2003.
Webberville is also home to an important solar energy farm. This farm helps create clean electricity for the area.

History of Webberville
The land that would become Webberville was first settled in 1827. This means people started living there a long time ago.
In 1839, a doctor named John Ferdinand Webber helped create a formal settlement. He called it Webber's Prairie. The name of the town was changed to Webberville in 1853. Many years later, in 2003, Webberville officially became a village.
Webberville's Location and Size
Webberville is located in Travis County, Texas. It covers a total area of about 2.1 square miles (5.4 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no large bodies of water inside the village limits.
Powering the Future: Solar Energy
Webberville is a leader in clean energy. In December 2011, the new Webberville Solar Farm started making electricity. This solar farm uses the sun's power to create energy.
The solar farm was built by Gemini Solar Development Company. It provides electricity to Austin Energy, which is a power company in the nearby city of Austin. The two companies agreed to a 25-year contract in 2009.
This solar farm is quite large. It can produce 30 megawatts of power. Over 25 years, it is expected to generate 1.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. This is a huge amount of clean energy!
