Weekend View was a TV show on The Weather Channel that aired on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It was on from 5:00 to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The show gave weather forecasts for the weekend and the week ahead. It helped viewers plan their activities based on the weather.

The Show's Journey

Weekend View was planned to start on September 17, 2005. However, it was delayed until October 1, 2005. This delay happened because of a very busy hurricane season that year.

Changes Over Time

Over the years, the show had some changes in its hosts.

  • In fall 2006, Stephanie Abrams left the show. She moved to another program called Abrams & Bettes Beyond the Forecast.
  • A year later, in 2007, Samantha Mohr joined The Weather Channel. She took over from Kelly Cass, who moved to PM Edition.
  • Kelly Cass later returned to Weekend View in May 2008.
  • In March 2009, Weekend View became longer. It started airing from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET. This meant it replaced another show called Weekend Outlook.
  • At this time, Jeff Morrow and Alex Wallace hosted the first part of the show, from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Betty Davis joined Kelly Cass for the 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. block.

New Hosts and Final Broadcast

  • In July 2010, Betty Davis left the show. Maria LaRosa then joined the team.
  • Later in November 2010, Kelly Cass moved to Weather Center. Maria LaRosa also moved to Weekend Now.
  • Jen Carfagno and Eric Fisher became the new hosts for the 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. part of the show.
  • In July 2012, Alex Wallace left. Danielle Banks took her place.
  • In October 2012, Jeff Morrow left. Ray Stagich became a new host.
  • In July 2013, Eric Fisher left The Weather Channel. Reynolds Wolf replaced him.

On November 10, 2013, Weekend View aired its very last episode. It was then replaced by Weather Center Live as part of a big update to The Weather Channel's programs.
