Stephanie Abrams is a well-known American meteorologist. She was born on October 27, 1978. Since 2003, she has worked at The Weather Channel. You can see her co-hosting America's Morning Headquarters. She works with Jim Cantore and Jordan Steele on weekday mornings. She also co-hosts Pattern with Jordan Steele. Stephanie has also worked for NBC News. She sometimes appeared on shows like NBC Nightly News and Today.
Stephanie's Education Journey
Stephanie Abrams is a graduate of Space Camp. She first went to the University of Florida in Gainesville. There, she earned a degree called a Bachelor of Science (B.S.). Her main subject was geography, and she also studied mathematics. She finished with high honors. She was also chosen for Phi Beta Kappa, a special honor society. While there, she was part of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority. She even became the president of her sorority chapter.
After that, Stephanie earned a second degree. This was a B.S. in meteorology from Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee. She graduated with honors from FSU too. At Florida State, she practiced giving weather forecasts on TV. This was for FSU Live, a news show run by students. She also helped teach a class about meteorology. She said that her professors at FSU were very helpful. She also liked that the classes were small. This made it easy for students to work together.
Stephanie's Career in Weather
Stephanie Abrams started her career as a morning meteorologist. Her first job was at WTXL in Tallahassee, Florida. This TV station is part of the ABC network.
In July 2003, Stephanie joined The Weather Channel. She started as a reporter and filled in for other hosts. In 2005, she became a co-host on her first show, Weekend View. The next year, in 2006, she became an on-camera meteorologist. She co-hosted Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast. Later, she moved to Weather Center, also with Mike Bettes.
On July 20, 2009, she began co-hosting Wake Up With Al. She worked with Al Roker on weekday mornings. This show was filmed at NBC studios in New York. Stephanie also sometimes filled in for Al Roker on Today. She also joined Sam Champion on America's Morning Headquarters (AMHQ) sometimes. During the 2010 Winter Olympics, she and Al Roker reported live from Vancouver. They were there from February 8 to 28 for their shows. Wake Up With Al ended in 2015. Stephanie then returned to The Weather Channel's studios in Atlanta.
In 2012, Stephanie was the temporary weather anchor on Weekend Today. This was after Bill Karins and Janice Huff left. She stayed until Dylan Dreyer arrived. She also co-hosted On The Radar from 2012 to 2013. From 2009 to 2014, she co-hosted Morning Rush (which used to be called Your Weather Today).
