What the Movie Is About
This film tells the story of two sisters, Jane and Sarah Willoughby. Their father suddenly passes away, leaving them with very little money. They own a large estate, but they can no longer afford to keep it up.
Because of this, they have to rent out their home. It becomes an airbase for American soldiers. This happens during the Second World War. The movie shows how their lives change with the soldiers living on their property. It also explores how the local village reacts to the new American forces.
