Discovering West Omaha's Communities

West Omaha is home to many different communities. Some of these, like Boys Town, have a long history. Other areas, like Elkhorn and Millard, used to be separate towns but are now part of Omaha. Ralston is another city that is almost completely surrounded by Omaha. Chalco is also seen as part of West Omaha, even though it's not officially a city.

Elkhorn 1865 From 240th to 180th Streets, and Rainwood Road to Harrison Street. Used to be its own city, now part of Omaha.
Keystone 1907 Between 90th and 72nd Streets, and Military Avenue, from Fort Street to Maple Street.
Millard 1885 From 204th to 108th Streets, and Blondo to Harrison Streets. Used to be its own city, now part of Omaha.

West Omaha's Boundaries

West Omaha has clear borders. To the east, it's bordered by 90th Street. To the south, you'll find Harrison Street. The Platte River forms its western edge. And to the north, its boundary is Rainwood Road.
