Ralston's Story: A Brief History
The area where Ralston is now was first set up on May 23, 1907. A company called Ralston Investment Company bought a large piece of land. About a year later, the town's layout was planned by Roy N. Towl, who later became the mayor of Omaha.

Later, in 1934, Ralston faced another tough time. After a fire destroyed part of a city block, the city ran out of money. Ralston was one of the first cities in the U.S. to declare bankruptcy. This means it officially stated it could not pay its debts.
