History of Westboro
Westboro has an interesting past. It was first planned out, or platted, in 1838. This means people drew up maps to decide where streets and buildings would go. The name Westboro might come from a nearby stream called West Fork Creek.
A post office opened in Westboro in 1847. This was a very important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years, finally closing its doors in 1971.
