Wilbur is a fun Canadian children's TV show. It first aired on Discovery Kids on April 16, 2007. Later, it also showed on TLC. The show was made by Mercury Filmworks and other companies. It finished airing on March 18, 2008.
Before the TV series, a short test episode was made in 2001. Even earlier, in 1997, Wilbur was a series of video tapes. The main goal of the show was to help young children love reading. Its catchy phrase is "Books are moo-ve-lous," which you can hear in the theme song!
Each episode of Wilbur has two short stories. In each story, Wilbur and his friends face a small problem. When this happens, Wilbur gets a special wiggling feeling. This feeling tells him it's time to read a book! The book then helps the group figure out how to solve their problem.
The books in the show are usually made up just for the episode. They often feature Wilbur and his friends as characters. After they talk about the problem and how to fix it, they read the book again. You'll see clips of children saying "once upon a time at the beginning" and "The end" as the story finishes. After the show stopped making new episodes, reruns continued until June 24, 2012.

- Ray (voiced by Ian Busher): Ray is a friendly rooster who joins in the adventures.
- Libby the Lamb (voiced by Taylor Barber): Libby is a sweet little lamb. The other characters often help take care of her. She speaks with a cute toddler's lisp and looks up to Wilbur.
