William Thomas Riker is a famous character from the TV show Star Trek: The Next Generation. He is played by the actor Jonathan Frakes. Riker is the First Officer on the starship USS Enterprise. This means he is the second-in-command, right after the Captain. He helps lead the ship and can even take charge if the Captain is not there.

Riker quickly became very comfortable working on the Enterprise. He was offered the chance to command his own starship many times, but he often chose to stay on the Enterprise. He enjoyed working with Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the rest of the crew.
