William W. Spearman was born on February 27, 1958. He is an American politician from the Democratic Party. He represents the 5th Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly. He started this job on June 30, 2018.
William Spearman grew up in Camden. He went to Woodrow Wilson High School, which is now called Eastside High School. After high school, he studied at Rutgers University. Later, he earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Temple University.

Before joining the New Jersey Assembly, William Spearman worked in other important roles.
Serving Camden City
From 2006 to 2011, he was a member of the Camden City Council. The City Council helps make decisions for the city. He also worked for the South Jersey Transportation Authority for ten years. For five of those years, he helped make sure everyone followed the rules as an ethics liaison officer.
Joining the New Jersey Assembly
In June 2018, William Spearman became a member of the New Jersey Assembly. He was chosen by the Democratic Party committee to take over from Arthur Barclay, who had left the position earlier that month.
