The Story of Williamsport
Williamsport was started a long time ago, in the year 1836. A person named William Dakan planned out the community. He decided where the streets and buildings would go. The community was named "Williamsport" after him.
Close by, there was once a post office. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This one was called "Andrews." It opened even earlier, in 1833, but it closed down in 1903.
