Where Did They Live?
The Winduwinda people lived in a beautiful part of Queensland. Their traditional lands covered about 1,100 square miles (2,850 square kilometers). This area was east of a place called Duyfken Point and stretched over to the Archer River. Their land also went inland to the start of the Embley River.

How Were They Organized?
The Winduwinda people had a special way of organizing themselves. It depends on whether you see Winduwinda as one big group with smaller family units, or as several distinct groups that were all related.
One way to look at it is that the Winduwinda had smaller family groups, sometimes called 'hordes'. Two of these specific groups were:
- Mbalidjan
- Ndorndorin
