The Wong Tai Sin Temple (黃大仙祠) is a very famous temple in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Its name means "the Temple for Big Deity Wong." This large temple covers about 18,000 square meters. Inside, you can find a statue of Wong Chor Ping (黃初平). He was a well-known person from southern China long ago, during the East Jin Dynasty.
Getting to Wong Tai Sin Temple
The easiest way to reach the temple is by using the Hong Kong MTR train system.
- Take the MTR (港鐵) to Wong Tai Sin Station (黃大仙站).
- This station is on the Kwun Tong Line (觀塘綫).
- It is located between the Lok Fu (樂富站) and Diamond Hill (鑽石山站) stops.
The temple is just a short walk from the station.
