Woodlandville is a small, quiet community located in the western part of Boone County, Missouri, in the United States. It's not officially a city or town, but a place where people live. You can find it about six miles south of Harrisburg and north of I-70 and Rocheport. Today, Woodlandville has a church, a tall water tower, and a few homes.

A Glimpse into Woodlandville's History

The community of Woodlandville got its name a long time ago because of the many trees, or "woods," that covered the area. It was named to show how different it was from the open "prairie" lands nearby.

A post office was opened in Woodlandville in 1872. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years, helping people connect. It finally closed its doors in 1932.
