This huge windchime is about 12.80 meters (42 feet) long. That's like the length of a school bus! It has five big metal tubes that hang down. These tubes are suspended 14.94 meters (49 feet) from the ground, which is taller than a three-story building. The whole windchime is very heavy, weighing about 7,680 kilograms (16,932 pounds). That's as much as two large cars!

How Was This Giant Windchime Built?

Jim Bolin is part of a family business called Bolin Enterprises, Inc. (BEI). This company usually works on pipes and tanks. Jim and the skilled workers at BEI, like welders and fabricators, spent two whole years on this project. They worked hard to design, plan, and build the giant windchime.

From Idea to Tourist Attraction

After all the hard work, the finished windchime was moved to land owned by BEI in Casey, Illinois. It's now at 109 East Main Street. This incredible creation quickly became a popular spot for tourists to visit and admire. People from all over come to see and hear the world's largest windchime!
