Worst Year of My Life Again is a fun Australian TV show made for kids. It first started on April 26, 2014, on ABC3. The show was created by the Australian Children's Television Foundation (ACTF) and Reflective Pictures for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Filming for the series took place in 2013. The show also aired in the United Kingdom on CBBC.
What's the Show About?
Imagine waking up and finding out you have to live the same bad year all over again! That's exactly what happens to Alex King. He's just turned 15 and is so happy his terrible year is finally over. But then, time resets itself! Now, he has to go through his most embarrassing and unlucky moments all over again. Can he change things this time around?
Meet the Characters
Let's meet the main characters who make Alex's life interesting (and sometimes harder!):
- Ned Napier as Alex King: He's the main character who keeps having bad luck. Alex is a bit clumsy and shy. He tries to fix things when time resets, but his plans often lead to even more trouble and funny moments for him.
- Laurence Boxhall as Simon Birch: Simon is Alex's best friend. He's funny, quick-witted, and a bit quirky. He also has a crush on Alex's older sister, Sam, but she doesn't feel the same way. Simon can sometimes be too confident, which gets him into trouble.
- Tiarnie Coupland as Maddy Kent: Maddy is another one of Alex's friends. She is very smart but also a bit bubbly and spontaneous. She tries to tell Alex that he shouldn't be with Nicola. Maddy secretly likes Alex, but he never seems to notice!
- Lana Golja as Nicola Grey: Nicola is the girl Alex likes. She is pretty but can be a bit self-centered and sometimes acts like a bully. She doesn't seem to have feelings for Alex.
- Xander Speight as Parker: Parker is the school bully. He and his friend Howe often try to make Alex's life difficult and embarrass him.
- Liam Erck as Howe: Howe is Parker's assistant and helps him with his bullying.
- Kaiting Yap as Loren: Loren is one of Nicola's friends who can also be a bit snobbish.
- Jessie Blott as Amy: Amy is another one of Nicola's friends.
- Bellamy Duke as Big Hannah: Hannah is a very tall and tough girl who has a crush on Alex.

- Arielle O'Neil as Samantha King: Sam is Alex's older sister. She often bosses Alex around, even though he's taller than her. Sam seems to enjoy watching Alex get into funny situations and sometimes blackmails him for her own fun.
- Annie Jones as Johanna King: She is Alex and Sam's mom. She means well but can sometimes act without thinking things through.
- Jeremy Stanford as Lanford King: He is Alex and Sam's dad. He loves to compete, which sometimes causes him problems and leads to funny embarrassments.
- Syd Brisbane as Quinnford Norris: Mr. Norris is the school dean and a math teacher. He is very strict and often gives out detentions. He rarely smiles and seems to dislike fun things like romance, music, and art. He is especially tough on Alex.
- Kingsley O'Connor as Troy: Troy is the school's sports star and captain of the boys' football team. However, his grades in other subjects are not very good.
