Early Life and Acting Start

Ximena Duque was born in Cali, Colombia, on January 30, 1985. When she was twelve years old, she moved to Miami, Florida, in the United States. There, she started taking classes to learn acting. She also studied how to speak clearly and how to change her accent.

Acting Career

Getting Started (2002–2009)

Ximena began her journey on a TV reality show called Protagonistas de Novela. This show looked for new acting talent. In 2005, she started her acting career in a telenovela called Soñar no cuesta nada. She played a character named Jenny.

Later, in 2007, she appeared in Pecados Ajenos as María Águilar. The next year, she was in Valeria, playing Ana Lucía Hidalgo. She also acted in El Rostro de Analía. In 2009, she had a small role in Victorinos. During these years, Ximena acted in several telenovelas for the TV network Telemundo.

New Roles and Success (2010–Present)

In 2010, Ximena starred in Bella calamidades. This show was a new version of the classic Cinderella story. That same year, she was also in Alguien te mira. This was a remake of a Chilean TV show. She acted alongside David Chocarro and Géraldine Bazán.

In 2011, Ximena worked for the Univision TV network. She joined the cast of the telenovela Sacrificio de Mujer. Later that year, she had a main role with Telemundo. She played Carola Conde in La casa de al lado. In this show, Gabriel Porras and David Chocarro played the main villains.

In 2012, she got her second main role in Corazón valiente. She starred with Adriana Fonseca and Fabián Ríos. For her role in this show, she won two awards. Ximena Duque has a son named Christian Carabias Duque, who was born in 2004. From 2010 to 2016, she was in a relationship with actor Carlos Ponce.

In December 2016, Ximena got engaged to a businessman named Jay Adkins. They got married in June 2017. Their daughter, Luna Adkins Duque, was born on January 14, 2018. On February 6, 2021, they welcomed their second daughter, Skye Adkins.
