Yahya ibn al-Mundhir al-Tuğībī al-Mudhaffar (Arabic: يحي بن المنذر التجيبي المظفر) was an important ruler in a part of Spain long ago. He was the second leader of a powerful family called the Banu Tujib clan. From 1022 to 1036, he was the emir, or ruler, of a kingdom known as the Taifa of Zaragoza.

Who Was Yahya al-Mudhaffar?
Yahya ibn al-Mundhir al-Mudhaffar was a significant figure in the history of Al-Andalus. This was the name for the parts of the Iberian Peninsula ruled by Muslims. He came from the Banu Tujib family, which was a very influential clan.
His Family and Role
Yahya was the second person from his family to rule the Taifa of Zaragoza. His father, Al-Mundhir ibn Yahya al-Tujibi, was the first. Yahya took over after his father passed away. He ruled for about 14 years, from 1022 until 1036.
