Yasuhiro Higuchi (樋口 靖洋, Higuchi Yasuhiro, born May 5, 1961) is a Japanese football manager and former player. He currently manages the team Veertien Mie.

Yasuhiro Higuchi's Playing Career
Yasuhiro Higuchi was born in Mie Prefecture, Japan, on May 5, 1961. After finishing high school, he started his football career. He played for a team called Nissan Motors. He was a player there from 1980 to 1984.
Higuchi's Coaching Journey and Managerial Roles
After he stopped playing football, Higuchi began his coaching career. He started at Nissan Motors in 1985. This team later became known as Yokohama F. Marinos. He mostly coached the youth teams from 1993 to 1998. Then, he coached the main senior team from 1999 to 2005.
First Managerial Positions
In 2006, Higuchi became a manager for the first time. He joined J2 League club Montedio Yamagata. In 2008, he moved to J1 League club Omiya Ardija. He managed a team in the top league, J1, but he left after one year. In 2009, he signed with J2 club Yokohama FC. However, he resigned that same year because the team's performance was not good.
Returning to Yokohama F. Marinos
In 2010, Higuchi went back to Yokohama F. Marinos. He worked as an assistant coach under manager Kazushi Kimura. In 2012, Higuchi took over as the main manager, replacing Kimura.
Success and Challenges at Marinos
During the 2013 J1 season, his team, Yokohama F. Marinos, was doing very well. They were in first place until late in the season. However, they lost their last two matches and did not win the league championship. Even so, they had a big victory in the 2013 Emperor's Cup. They won the cup by defeating the league champions, Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Higuchi managed Marinos until the end of the 2014 season.
Managing Other Teams
After leaving Marinos, Higuchi moved to Ventforet Kofu in 2015. But the team's results were not good. He resigned in May when the club was at the very bottom of the league. In 2016, he joined J3 League club YSCC Yokohama. This team had been in last place in J3 for two years in a row. In 2016, they were still in last place. But in 2017, the team finally moved out of the bottom spot for the first time. He managed YSCC Yokohama until the end of the 2018 season. In 2019, he signed with J2 club FC Ryukyu.
