Playing Career: Club Football

Yasuo Takamori was born in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After finishing his studies at Rikkyo University, he joined a football club called Nippon Kokan in 1956. He played for this club for many years.

In 1967, his team, Nippon Kokan, was promoted to the Japan Soccer League. This was a big achievement for the club. Takamori played 28 games in this top league. He stopped playing football professionally in 1968.

Playing Career: National Team

Takamori started playing for the Japan national team very early. His first game was on January 2, 1955. At that time, he was still a student at Rikkyo University. His first match was against the team from Burma.

He was chosen to represent Japan in the 1956 Summer Olympics. These Olympic Games were held in Melbourne, Australia. He also played for Japan in two different Asian Games tournaments.
