Yodels facts for kids
Yodels are tasty, cream-filled cakes with a frosted coating. They are made by the Drake's company. Drake's is now part of McKee Foods. You can mostly find Yodels on the East Coast of the United States. They are a bit like other popular snack cakes, such as Hostess Brands' Ho Hos or Little Debbie's Swiss Cake Rolls.
What Are Yodels Like?
Each small package of Yodels usually holds two cakes. These two cakes together have about 440 calories and three grams of saturated fat. You can also buy Yodels in bigger boxes. These boxes might have five or eight pairs of cakes, meaning 10 or 16 cakes in total.
For a long time, Yodels used to be made a bit differently. The cake was thicker and heavier. They also came wrapped in foil. But by the late 1980s, the recipe and packaging changed to what you see today.
