What Was the Museum Like?
The museum was designed to look like Yokohama's port in the late 1800s. The exhibits were set up along the walls. Part of the main area was even built to look like a ship docked at the port. On the eighth floor, there was a recreated ship's cabin. Inside, you could see old Morse code radio instruments. These were used to send messages using beeps and flashes.
When Was It Open?
The Yokohama Curry Museum opened its doors on January 26, 2001. It was run by a company called Matahari Co., Ltd. Many people loved visiting this interesting place. By the end of November 2006, about 8.7 million visitors had explored the museum. The museum closed on March 31, 2007.
