The Story of Yoli
How Yoli Started
Yoli soda was first made in 1918 in a town called Taxco, which is in Guerrero, Mexico. A company named Grupo Yoli created it. Back then, the company was known as "La Vencedora." Yoli was the very first soda they ever made. It quickly became a favorite drink in the local area.
Growing Popularity
Yoli's popularity grew even more when Grupo Yoli got a special agreement in 1938. They were allowed to bottle Coca-Cola drinks in Acapulco. This helped their business expand.
Yoli Joins a Bigger Family
For many years, Grupo Yoli continued to make Yoli soda. Then, in December 2008, Yoli started to be sold in new cities like Toluca and Cuernavaca. A big change happened in January 2013 when a large company called FEMSA bought Grupo Yoli. FEMSA is a major bottling company for Coca-Cola products.
This purchase was completed in May 2013. It meant that the factories that made Yoli could now also bottle other famous drinks like Coca-Cola and Fanta. This also helped Yoli soda become available in even more places outside of Guerrero.
Where Yoli is Made Today
Currently, Yoli soda is produced in two factories. These factories are still operated by the original Grupo Yoli company, even though they are now part of the larger Coca-Cola FEMSA family.
