Yoshiaki Shimojo (下條 佳明, Shimojo Yoshiaki, born May 10, 1954) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He was known for his skills as a defender. After his playing days, he became a successful coach and manager for various teams in Japan.

Yoshiaki Shimojo's Playing Career
Yoshiaki Shimojo was born in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, on May 10, 1954. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at Waseda University, a well-known university in Japan, he began his professional football journey.
In 1978, Shimojo joined the Nissan Motors football team. He played as a defender, helping to protect his team's goal. He stayed with Nissan Motors for six years, until 1984. During his time as a player, his team achieved some great results. They were runners-up in the Japan Soccer League in both 1983 and 1984. They also reached the final of the JSL Cup in 1983. A big highlight was winning the Emperor's Cup in 1983, which is a major football tournament in Japan.
Yoshiaki Shimojo's Coaching Journey
After he stopped playing football, Yoshiaki Shimojo decided to stay involved in the sport. He became a coach for his former team, Nissan Motors. This team later changed its name to Yokohama Marinos and then to Yokohama F. Marinos.
In 1992, Shimojo took on a new role as a manager for Nissan FC Ladies, a women's football team. This showed his ability to lead and guide players. Later, in 1995, he moved to coach for Yokohama Flügels. However, he soon returned to the Yokohama Marinos in 1996.
Shimojo continued to work with Yokohama Marinos (which became Yokohama F. Marinos) for many years. He served as both a coach and a team director until 2006. This meant he helped with training players and also with the overall management of the team. He even stepped in as the main manager for short periods in 2001 and 2002.
