Yoshikazu Nonomura (野々村 芳和, Nonomura Yoshikazu, born May 8, 1972) is a former Japanese football player. He later became the chairman of the J. League, which is Japan's top professional football league. He took on this important role on January 31, 2022.

Yoshikazu Nonomura's Football Journey
Yoshikazu Nonomura was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on May 8, 1972. After finishing his studies at Keio University, he started his professional football career.
Playing for JEF United Ichihara
In 1995, Nonomura joined a team called JEF United Ichihara. He quickly became a key player for them. He often played as a defensive midfielder, helping to protect his team's goal. He also played as a right-side midfielder, helping with attacks.
In 1998, his team, JEF United Ichihara, did very well in the J.League Cup. They finished in second place, which was a great achievement. However, in 1999, Nonomura played fewer matches.
Moving to Consadole Sapporo
In 2000, Nonomura decided to move to another team called Consadole Sapporo. This team was in the J2 League, which is the second division of Japanese football. He became a regular player for Consadole Sapporo.
His team had a fantastic year in 2000. They won the championship in the J2 League! This victory meant that Consadole Sapporo was promoted to the J1 League for the 2001 season. The J1 League is the highest level of professional football in Japan. Nonomura played one more season in the J1 League before he decided to retire from playing football at the end of 2001.

Leading the J. League
Nonomura's leadership skills were recognized across Japanese football. On January 31, 2022, he was chosen to become the chairman of the entire J. League. This is a very important position.
