Yoshiki Nakai (中井 義樹, Nakai Yoshiki, born January 4, 1983) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder.

Yoshiki Nakai's Football Journey

Yoshiki Nakai was born in Takatsuki, Japan, on January 4, 1983. He grew up loving football and joined the youth team of Cerezo Osaka. This was a big step, as Cerezo Osaka is a club in Japan's top football league, the J1 League.

Starting His Professional Career

Nakai officially joined Cerezo Osaka's main team in 2001. However, he didn't get to play in any matches that year. At the end of the 2001 season, Cerezo Osaka was moved down to the J2 League, which is the second division.

In April 2002, Nakai finally made his debut! He played in a few matches as a midfielder. Cerezo Osaka did well that year and moved back up to the J1 League for the 2003 season. Even though his team was back in the top league, Nakai found it hard to get playing time from 2003 onwards.

Moving to New Teams

In 2006, Nakai decided to move to another J2 League club called Thespa Kusatsu. Here, he quickly became a regular player, often playing as a defensive midfielder. He played in many matches during the 2006 season. But in 2007, his playing time became limited again.

So, in July 2007, he moved to a club in the Japan Football League (JFL), which is another important league in Japan. This club was Sagawa Printing. At Sagawa Printing, Nakai once again became a regular player and played in many games until 2010.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2011, Nakai moved to another JFL club, V-Varen Nagasaki. He was a regular player there in 2011. However, in 2012, he didn't play as much. Even though V-Varen Nagasaki won the JFL championship in 2012 and was promoted to the J2 League, Nakai left the club before getting to play in J2 with them.

In 2013, he returned to his former club, Sagawa Printing, after three years away. He continued to play in many matches until 2015. Sadly, the club was disbanded at the end of the 2015 season. Because of this, Yoshiki Nakai decided to retire from professional football at the end of 2015.
