Yoshino Aoki's Musical Journey
Yoshino Aoki was born in Kanagawa, Japan. She loved music from a young age and studied classical music. She started playing the piano when she was six years old. When she turned 13, she began learning the flute, and soon after, she started using a synthesizer.
In high school, Yoshino sang classical music and played the keyboard in her own band. When she went to college, she studied how to teach music and continued her classical singing lessons.
Starting Her Career at Capcom
After finishing college, Yoshino Aoki joined the video game company Capcom. She started by helping to arrange music for the CD version of Capcom's Mega Man X3. She worked with three other sound team members on this project.
In 2007, Yoshino decided to leave Capcom to work on her own as a freelance artist. This means she could work on different projects for various companies.
Founding Unique Note
Today, Yoshino Aoki works at a sound studio called Unique Note Co., Ltd. She actually helped start this studio with Tetsuya Shibata. They later got married in 2014. At Unique Note, Yoshino is the vice president, and she continues to work as a composer, arranger (someone who changes music for different instruments), and lyricist.
