Yoshinobu Minowa (箕輪 義信, Minowa Yoshinobu, born June 2, 1976) is a former Japanese football player. He was a strong defender who played for several clubs in Japan. He even played one match for the Japan national team. Minowa is known for his time with Kawasaki Frontale, where he helped the team achieve great success.

His Journey in Club Football
Yoshinobu Minowa was born in Kawasaki on June 2, 1976. After finishing his studies at Sendai University, he started his professional football career.
Starting Out: Júbilo Iwata and Kawasaki Frontale
In 1999, Minowa joined Júbilo Iwata, a top team in Japan's J1 League. He didn't get to play in any matches there. In September 2000, he moved to his hometown club, Kawasaki Frontale.
That year, Kawasaki Frontale was moved down to the J2 League, which is the second division of Japanese football. From 2001, even though the team was in J2, Minowa became a regular player. He was a key defender for the team.
Rising to the Top: J1 League Success
In 2004, Minowa and Kawasaki Frontale had a fantastic season. They won the J2 League championship! This meant they were promoted back to the J1 League.
Once back in the top league, the team continued to do well. They finished second in the J1 League in 2006. They also reached the finals of the J.League Cup in 2007, finishing as runners-up. Minowa was a big part of these achievements.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2008, Minowa faced some challenges with injuries. He lost his regular spot on the team. In June of that year, he moved to Consadole Sapporo. Unfortunately, Consadole Sapporo was relegated to the J2 League at the end of 2008.
From 2009 onwards, injuries continued to affect his ability to play. He left Consadole Sapporo at the end of the 2010 season. In September 2011, Yoshinobu Minowa officially announced his retirement from professional football.
Playing for Japan
Yoshinobu Minowa had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. He made his debut on April 25, 2005. He was 29 years old at the time. His only match for Japan was a friendly game against Ukraine.
