Yoshinori Abe (阿部 良則, Abe Yoshinori, born September 10, 1972) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward during his career.

Playing Career Highlights

Yoshinori Abe was born in Fujisawa, Japan, on September 10, 1972. He started his professional football journey in 1991. He joined the youth team of Yomiuri, which later became Verdy Kawasaki.

Early Years at Verdy Kawasaki

Even though he got more chances to play from his first season, it was tough to become a regular player. This was because famous Japan national team players like Kazuyoshi Miura and Nobuhiro Takeda were also on the team.

Moving to Other Clubs

In 1995, Yoshinori Abe moved to Brummell Sendai. This club was part of the Japan Football League (JFL). Here, he played many games as a forward and scored a lot of goals.

He then moved to another JFL club, Tosu Futures, in 1996. After one year, he returned to Verdy Kawasaki in 1997. In 1998, he went back to Brummell Sendai.

Later Career and Retirement

In 1999, Brummell Sendai was promoted to a new league called J2 League. From 2000, Abe played for other J2 League clubs. He played for Shonan Bellmare in 2000 and Kawasaki Frontale in 2001. Yoshinori Abe decided to retire from football at the end of the 2001 season.
