Yoshinori Abe (阿部 良則, Abe Yoshinori, born September 10, 1972) is a former Japanese football player. He was born in Fujisawa, Japan. Yoshinori Abe played as a forward, which means his main job was to score goals for his team.

He played for several well-known Japanese clubs during his career. These included Verdy Kawasaki, Vegalta Sendai, and Kawasaki Frontale. He was known for his skills on the field and his ability to find the back of the net.

Playing Football

Yoshinori Abe started his football journey in 1991. He joined a team called Yomiuri, which later became Verdy Kawasaki. Even though he got to play more games early on, it was tough to become a regular player. This was because famous players like Kazuyoshi Miura and Nobuhiro Takeda were also on the team. They were even part of the Japan national team!

Moving to New Teams

In 1995, Yoshinori Abe moved to a different league called the Japan Football League (JFL). He joined a club named Brummell Sendai, which is now known as Vegalta Sendai. Here, he got more chances to play as a forward and scored many goals.

The next year, in 1996, he moved to another JFL team, Tosu Futures. After playing there for a season, he went back to his old team, Verdy Kawasaki, in 1997.

Later Career and Retirement

In 1998, Yoshinori Abe returned to Brummell Sendai. In 1999, his team was promoted to a new league called J2 League. This was an exciting step up for the club.

From 2000, he played for other J2 League teams. He joined Shonan Bellmare in 2000 and then Kawasaki Frontale in 2001. Yoshinori Abe decided to retire from playing football at the end of the 2001 season. Over his career, he played in 160 league matches and scored 48 goals.
