Yoshinori Higashikawa (東川 昌典, Higashikawa Yoshinori, born September 30, 1964) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He played as a defender for several teams in Japan. After his playing career, he became a coach and manager.

Playing Career

Yoshinori Higashikawa was born in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on September 30, 1964. After finishing university, he joined a football club called Yamaha Motors in 1988. This club later became known as Júbilo Iwata.

He quickly became an important player for the team. He often played as a side back, which is a type of defender. He played in many matches during his first few seasons.

Later, in 1995, he moved to another club called Honda. He continued to play many games for Honda over three seasons. He retired from playing professional football at the end of the 1997 season.

Coaching Career

After he stopped playing, Higashikawa began a new career as a coach. He started coaching at Honda in 1998, the same club where he finished his playing days.

In 2006, he moved to Ehime FC, a team that had just been promoted to the J2 League. He worked as a coach for their main team in 2006. The next year, in 2007, he became the manager for their youth team, helping younger players develop their skills.

In 2008, Higashikawa took on a new challenge. He moved to V-Varen Nagasaki, a club playing in the Regional Leagues. He became their manager. Under his leadership, the club was promoted to the Japan Football League in 2009. However, the team's results were not very good, and he left the club in June 2009.
