Yoshinori Ishigami (石神 良訓, Ishigami Yoshinori, born November 4, 1957) is a former Japanese football player. He was a defender who played for the Japan national team.

Yoshinori Ishigami was born in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on November 4, 1957. He became a professional football player, known for his strong defense. He played for a club team called Yamaha Motors and also represented his country on the national team.

Playing for Clubs

After finishing high school, Yoshinori Ishigami joined the Yamaha Motors football club in 1976. This team started in the Prefectural Leagues, which are local leagues. They worked their way up to the Regional Leagues in 1977.

By 1979, Yamaha Motors had moved up to the Japan Soccer League, which was a top league in Japan at the time. Ishigami helped his team achieve great success. They won the league championship in the 1987–88 season. The club also won the Emperor's Cup in 1982, which is a big knockout tournament in Japan.

Ishigami was recognized for his excellent play. He was chosen twice for the "Best Eleven," which means he was considered one of the top 11 players in the league. He played for Yamaha Motors until he retired in 1990.

Playing for Japan

Yoshinori Ishigami also had the honor of playing for the Japan national football team. He made his first appearance for Japan on September 30, 1984, in a match against South Korea.

He played in important international competitions. These included the qualification matches for the 1986 FIFA World Cup and the Football at the 1986 Asian Games. He played a total of 12 games for the Japan national team between 1984 and 1986.
