Yoshiyuki Hasegawa (長谷川 祥之, born February 11, 1969) is a former Japanese football (soccer) player. He was born in Uji, Kyoto, Japan. Hasegawa played as a forward and is well-known for his time with the Kashima Antlers club. He also played for the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs

Yoshiyuki Hasegawa started his football journey after finishing university. In 1991, he joined a club called Honda. A year later, in 1992, he moved to Kashima Antlers. This is a very famous club in Japan's top football league, the J1 League.

Hasegawa was a key player for Kashima Antlers throughout the 1990s. He helped his team win many important championships. In 2000, Kashima Antlers made history by winning all three major Japanese football titles in one year. These titles were the J1 League, the J.League Cup, and the Emperor's Cup. This was the first time any club in the J.League had achieved such a feat!

During his time with Kashima Antlers, the club won the J1 League four times. They also won the J.League Cup three times and the Emperor's Cup twice. Hasegawa played 261 games for Kashima Antlers and scored 89 goals. He retired from playing football in July 2003.

Playing for His Country

Yoshiyuki Hasegawa also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team. He made his first appearance for Japan on February 15, 1995, in a game against Australia. He continued to play for the national team in 1996. In total, he played 6 games for Japan before he stopped playing for the national team after 1996.
