Yoshiyuki Takemoto (竹元 義幸, born October 3, 1973) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward during his career.

Yoshiyuki Takemoto's Football Journey
Yoshiyuki Takemoto was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on October 3, 1973. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career. He joined a team called NKK in 1993. This team played in the Japan Football League. He played in many games for NKK. However, the club closed down at the end of the 1993 season.
Moving to New Teams
In 1994, Takemoto moved to another JFL club. This team was first known as Fujieda Blux. Later, it became Fukuoka Blux and then Avispa Fukuoka. In 1995, he became a regular player for Avispa Fukuoka. He scored 14 goals that season. His team also won the league championship. This win meant they were promoted to the J1 League for the 1996 season.
However, Takemoto did not play much in the J1 League in 1996. So, in August 1996, he went on loan to Tokyo Gas, another JFL club. He played 12 games there.
Challenges and New Starts
In 1997, Takemoto returned to Avispa Fukuoka. But he still did not get to play many matches. He then moved to Fukushima FC, a JFL club. He played in many games for Fukushima FC. Sadly, this club also closed down at the end of 1997. This happened because of money problems.
In 1998, he joined Mito HollyHock, another team in the JFL. He played 17 games for them.
Playing for Sagan Tosu
In 1999, Yoshiyuki Takemoto moved to Sagan Tosu. This club had just been promoted to the J2 League. He became a regular player for Sagan Tosu. He scored 16 goals that year, making him the top scorer for his club.
However, 2000 was a tough year for him. He could not play any matches because of injuries. From 2001, he started playing more games again. He continued to play for Sagan Tosu until the end of the 2002 season. After that, he retired from playing professional football.
