Yoshiyuki Takemoto (竹元 義幸, Takemoto Yoshiyuki), born on October 3, 1973, is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward.

Yoshiyuki Takemoto's Football Journey

Yoshiyuki Takemoto was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on October 3, 1973. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career in 1993. He joined a club called NKK, which played in the Japan Football League. He played in many games for NKK. Sadly, the club closed down at the end of 1993.

In 1994, Takemoto moved to another club in the Japan Football League. This club was first known as Fujieda Blux, then Fukuoka Blux, and finally Avispa Fukuoka. In 1995, he became a regular player for Avispa Fukuoka. He scored 14 goals that season, which is a great achievement for a forward! His team also won the league championship that year. This win meant they were promoted to the J1 League for the 1996 season.

However, in 1996, Takemoto did not get to play much in the J1 League. So, in August 1996, he went on loan to Tokyo Gas, another club in the Japan Football League. He played 12 matches for them. In 1997, he returned to Avispa Fukuoka. But again, he didn't play many games. He then moved to Fukushima FC, a club in the Japan Football League. He played in many matches for Fukushima FC. Unfortunately, this club also closed down at the end of 1997.

In 1998, Takemoto joined Mito HollyHock, another team in the Japan Football League. The next year, in 1999, he moved to Sagan Tosu. This club had just been promoted to the J2 League. In 1999, he was a regular player for Sagan Tosu. He scored 16 goals, becoming the top scorer for his club that season!

The year 2000 was tough for him. He couldn't play any matches because of injuries. But he bounced back in 2001, playing in many games again. Yoshiyuki Takemoto continued to play for Sagan Tosu until the end of the 2002 season, when he retired from professional football.
