Yota Akimoto (秋元 陽太, Akimoto Yōta, born July 11, 1987 in Machida, Tokyo) is a Japanese footballer. He plays as a goalkeeper. Yota Akimoto is currently playing for Ehime FC. He is on loan from Shonan Bellmare.

Yota Akimoto's Football Journey
Yota Akimoto started his football journey in his youth. He played for CYD Football Club. Later, he joined the youth team of Yokohama F. Marinos. This was a big step for him.
Early Professional Years
Akimoto became a professional player in 2006. He started his career with Yokohama F. Marinos. He played for them until 2011. During this time, he gained experience as a goalkeeper.
Moving to Ehime FC
