Yugo Ichiyanagi (一柳 夢吾, Ichiyanagi Yūgo, born 2 April 1985) is a Japanese football player. He plays as a defender for the Taiwanese football club AC Taipei.

Yugo Ichiyanagi's Football Journey
Yugo Ichiyanagi began his football career in Japan. He started in the youth team of Tokyo Verdy from 2001 to 2003. This is where he learned many important skills.
Early Career in Japan
Yugo joined the main team of Tokyo Verdy in 2003. He played for them until 2007. During this time, he also spent some time on loan at Sagan Tosu in 2005. A loan means he played for another team for a short period.
In 2004, while with Tokyo Verdy, Yugo's team won the Emperor's Cup. This is a very important football competition in Japan. Winning it was a big achievement early in his career.
Playing for Different Teams
After leaving Tokyo Verdy, Yugo played for several other Japanese clubs. From 2008 to 2010, he was with Vegalta Sendai. He then moved to Fagiano Okayama for two years, from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, he also had a short time at Matsumoto Yamaga FC.
In 2013, Yugo played for FC Ryukyu. Later, he joined Thespakusatsu Gunma from 2016 to 2018. He played many matches for these teams, mostly as a defender.
Moving to Thailand and Taiwan
Yugo also played football in other countries. In 2014, he played for Sukhothai in Thailand. The next year, 2015, he played for Phichit, also in Thailand.
Later, Yugo moved to Taiwan. From 2019 to 2020, he played for Taichung Futuro. In 2021, he joined Tainan City. Since 2022, he has been playing for AC Taipei.

As a defender, Yugo's main job is to stop the opposing team from scoring goals. This involves tackling, blocking shots, and clearing the ball away from his team's goal.
