Yuki Furukawa (古川 雄輝, Furukawa Yūki, born 18 December 1987) is a Japanese actor. He became very popular for playing the character Naoki Irie in the 2013 TV show Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo. He also starred in its follow-up show, Mischievous Kiss 2: Love in Okinawa.

His Early Life and Family
Yuki Furukawa was born in Tokyo, Japan, on December 18, 1987. When he was seven years old, his family moved to Canada. Later, at age 16, he moved to the United States for high school. After finishing high school, he returned to Japan. He studied Engineering at Keio University, which is a well-known university.
In June 2019, Yuki Furukawa shared exciting news: he got married! In October 2019, he and his wife welcomed their first child, a daughter. This news was shared by his agency and on his Twitter page.
In April 2024, Yuki Furukawa announced on his Instagram that he was leaving his agency, Horipro. He decided to become a freelance actor, which means he now manages his own career.
His Acting Journey
Yuki Furukawa is best known for his big role in the 2013 Japanese TV drama Mischievous Kiss: Love in Tokyo. In this show, he played the main character, Naoki Irie. He brought a fresh look to this classic manga character. He acted alongside Honoka Yahagi, who played his love interest in the show.
Yuki Furukawa became incredibly popular, especially in China. Within just two months of joining Weibo, which is like Twitter in China, he gained more than 500,000 followers! Because of his huge popularity there, he starred in a special web-drama called Mysterious Summer. This show was the first one ever made together by Japan and China. It was watched over 60 million times on a Chinese online video platform called iQiyi. The series was also available online in more than 35 countries around the world.
He was also the first Japanese actor to hold a fan meeting in Shanghai, China. This special event happened on July 21, 2013, showing just how much his fans loved him.
