Yusaku Tanioku (谷奥 優作, Tanioku Yusaku, born October 18, 1978) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender during his career.

Yusaku Tanioku's Football Journey
Early Career and First Club
Yusaku Tanioku was born in Nabari, Japan, on October 18, 1978. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career in 1997. He joined a club called Ventforet Kofu. At that time, Ventforet Kofu was part of the Japan Football League.
Moving to the J2 League
In 1999, a new league called the J2 League was created. Ventforet Kofu was one of the teams that joined this new league. Yusaku Tanioku played in many matches for the club. By the year 2000, he became a regular player, often playing as a side back. Even though he played well, his team, Ventforet Kofu, finished in last place for three years in a row, from 1999 to 2001.
Playing for Tokushima Vortis
In 2003, Yusaku Tanioku moved to another club. This club was called Otsuka Pharmaceutical, which later became known as Tokushima Vortis. This team was also in the Japan Football League. He continued to play in many games for them. In 2004, his team, Otsuka Pharmaceutical, won the championship in the Japan Football League. Because they won, they were promoted to the J2 League in 2005.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2006, Yusaku Tanioku joined another JFL club, Sagawa Express Osaka. This club later changed its name to Sagawa Shiga. He played in many matches during 2006. However, from 2007 onwards, he did not play as often. Yusaku Tanioku decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2009 season. Throughout his career, he played a total of 193 league games and scored 2 goals.
