Yusuke Mori (森 勇介, Mori Yusuke, born July 24, 1980) is a Japanese former professional football player. He played as a defender, helping his teams protect their goal. Mori had a long career playing for many different clubs in Japan.

Yusuke Mori's Football Journey
Yusuke Mori was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on July 24, 1980. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career in 1999. His first team was Verdy Kawasaki, which played in the top Japanese league, the J1 League.
Early Career and New Teams
At Verdy Kawasaki, Mori played a few games as a right-side defender. However, he didn't get to play very often. In 2001, he moved to Vegalta Sendai, a team in the J2 League. Here, he became a regular player, meaning he played in most matches. His strong play helped Vegalta Sendai get promoted to the J1 League in 2002.
Later in 2002, Mori joined Kyoto Purple Sanga. He continued to play many games for them until 2004.
Success with Kawasaki Frontale
In 2005, Mori moved to Kawasaki Frontale, a team that had just been promoted to the J1 League. This was a very important part of his career. He became a key player for Kawasaki Frontale, often playing as a right-side defender or a right-side midfielder.
During his time with Kawasaki Frontale, the team achieved great success. They finished second in the J.League Cup twice, in 2007 and 2009. They also finished second in the J1 League multiple times.
Returning to Tokyo Verdy and Later Clubs
In 2011, Yusuke Mori returned to his first club, Tokyo Verdy, after 11 years. He continued to be a regular player there, mostly as a right-side defender. However, his playing time started to decrease in 2014.
Later in 2014, he moved to FC Gifu, another J2 League club. In 2015, he joined SC Sagamihara in the J3 League. He left SC Sagamihara at the end of the 2015 season.
Final Years in Football
In 2016, Mori joined Okinawa SV. He played for this club until the end of 2018. After a long and successful career, Mori decided to leave the club and finish his professional playing days. He played a total of 351 league games and scored 12 goals throughout his career.
