Yusuke Suzuki (鈴木 雄介, Suzuki Yūsuke, born 2 January 1988) is a famous Japanese racewalker. He was born on January 2, 1988. He is known for being one of the fastest racewalkers in the world. He even holds a world record!
Suzuki has represented Japan in major competitions. These include the World Championships in Athletics and the 2012 Summer Olympics. He set a world record in the 20 km walk in 2015. This amazing time was 1:16:36 hours. He achieved this in his hometown of Nomi.

Early Career and Junior Success
Yusuke Suzuki started racewalking when he was young. He made his first international appearance in 2004. This was at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Athletics.
He quickly showed his talent. He won a bronze medal in the 10,000 metres walk. This happened at the 2005 World Youth Championships in Athletics. He earned another bronze medal in the same event. This was at the 2006 World Junior Championships in Athletics.
Moving to Senior Competitions
Suzuki began competing against adult athletes in 2007. He placed sixth in the 20 km walk. This was at the Asian Race Walking Championships. He also finished fourth at the 2007 Summer Universiade.
In the next two years, he continued to improve. He finished tenth and then fifth at the Asian Race Walking Championships. In 2009, he set a new personal best time. This time was 1:22:05 hours. This earned him a spot at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics.
Major Achievements and Records
In 2010, Suzuki won his first Asian title. He set a new personal best of 1:20:06 hours. He also placed fifth at the Asian Games that year.
The 2011 World Championships in Athletics was a big moment. He showed he was among the world's best. He finished eighth overall in the 20 km event. At the 2012 London Olympics, he started strong. However, he finished 36th in the end.
The year 2013 was very successful for Suzuki. He broke the Japanese record twice. First, he won the national title in 1:19:02 hours. Then, he won his second Asian title. He finished in 1:18:34 hours in Nomi, his hometown.
Suzuki was chosen to represent Japan again. He will compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
