Yves Jarvis is the stage name for a talented Canadian musician, singer, and producer named Jean-Sébastien Yves Audet. He makes unique experimental music. Before becoming Yves Jarvis, he also released music under the names Un Blonde and Faux Fur.

About Yves Jarvis

Jean-Sébastien Yves Audet grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. When he was a teenager, he was part of different music groups. One of these was Faux Fur, which released its first album in 2013.

His first solo album, Tenet, came out in 2014 under the name Un Blonde. In 2016, he released Good Will Come to You. This album was so good that it was nominated for the 2016 Polaris Music Prize. This is a big award for Canadian music! The album was re-released in 2017 by a record company called Flemish Eye.

In 2018, Audet announced he was changing his stage name. He decided to go from Un Blonde to Yves Jarvis. His third album, The Same but by Different Means, came out in early 2019. It was released by Flemish Eye in Canada and ANTI- in other parts of the world. This album was also nominated for the 2019 Polaris Music Prize.

His 2020 album, Sundry Rock Song Stock, was highly praised by music critics. It was also nominated for the 2021 Polaris Music Prize.

Why the Name Change?

Audet changed his project name to Yves Jarvis in 2018. He explained that "Yves" is his middle name. "Jarvis" is his mother's maiden name.
