Zachariah L. Foreman Jr. (born July 22, 1893 – died September 18, 1921) was a talented American baseball player. He was a pitcher in the Negro leagues during the 1920s.
Early Life and Family History
Zack Foreman Jr. was born in Foreman, Oklahoma. He went to college at Oklahoma Colored Agricultural & Normal University. Zack was also the cousin of another Negro league player, Sylvester "Hooks" Foreman.
His father, Zack Sr., was born in the 1840s. He became free in 1866. Zack Sr. worked hard and became a very successful person in Sequoyah County. The town of Foreman was named in his honor.
