Zbych Trofimiuk, born on April 7, 1979, is an actor, teacher, and academic from the Czech Republic and Australia. He is best known for his roles in popular children's TV shows. He played Mike Masters in the adventure series Sky Trackers and the main character, Paul Reynolds, in the science fiction series Spellbinder.

About Zbych Trofimiuk
Zbych was born in Prague, which is now in the Czech Republic, in 1979. His parents were Zoja Trofimiuk, a sculptor, and Jurek Trofimiuk. When he was very young, he spoke Czech, Polish, and German. At four years old, he moved with his family to Melbourne, Australia. There, he started learning English.
In 2004, Zbych finished his studies at Victoria University in Melbourne. He earned a degree in Performance Studies, which is about acting and performing.
Acting Career
Zbych Trofimiuk started acting when he was a child. He appeared in many Australian television shows.
Television Roles
In 1990, Zbych was in a short TV series called Choices. This show from ABC taught kids about peer pressure and making good decisions.
In 1994, he appeared in an episode of A Country Practice, a well-known Australian soap opera.
The year 1995 was very important for Zbych's acting career. He starred in two major children's drama series:
- Sky Trackers: Zbych played Mike Masters in this educational adventure series. For this role, he won the Australian Film Institute's Young Actor Award.
- Spellbinder: He played the main character, Paul Reynolds, in this exciting science fiction series.
Both Sky Trackers and Spellbinder were very successful. They both won the Australian Film Institute's Award for Best Children's Television Drama. Sky Trackers won in 1994, and Spellbinder won in 1996. Also in 1995, Zbych was a guest star in an episode of Snowy River - The McGregor Saga.
Theatre Performances
In 2005, Zbych acted in a play called "Bunny" at the La Mama Theatre in Melbourne. The play was written and directed by Benjamin Cittadini.
In 2007, he also helped direct another play called "Elmo" at La Mama. This play was a follow-up to "Bunny."
Film Appearances
Zbych played the character Kane in an independent movie called Clean in 2006.
Teaching and Research
Since 2006, Zbych Trofimiuk has been a teacher. He teaches English as a foreign language to students from other countries in Australia. He also works as an educational researcher at Monash University in Melbourne. He is part of the Digital Education Research Group there.
