Zema Abbey (born 17 April 1977) is a former English professional footballer. He played as a striker, which means he was a player who mainly tried to score goals.
Zema also has a degree in Sports Science and Leisure Management. His younger brother, Nathan, was also a professional footballer. Zema owns a company in Luton that sells footwear.

Zema Abbey's Football Journey
Starting Out in Football
Zema Abbey was born in Luton, England. His parents came from St. Vincent. He started his football career at a club called Arlesey Town. After that, he played for Baldock Town and Hitchin Town.
In February 2000, Zema joined Cambridge United. He quickly became an important player for the team.
Playing for Norwich City
In December 2000, Zema made a big move to Norwich City. This move cost Norwich City £350,000. However, his time at Norwich City was tough because of two serious knee injuries. These injuries meant he missed a lot of games.
Even though he was injured for much of the 2003–04 season, Norwich City won the league. Zema was still given a championship medal, which was a great achievement!
Moving to Other Clubs
After Norwich, Zema played for several other teams. In September 2004, he went on loan to Boston United. There, he even played alongside famous footballer Paul Gascoigne. He scored one goal for Boston United.
Later in 2004, he moved to Wycombe Wanderers and then to Bradford City. At Bradford, he scored a goal just two minutes into his first game! However, he also received a red card in that match. He played only six games for Bradford before leaving.
In 2005, Zema joined Torquay United, scoring one goal before moving on. He then played for Forest Green Rovers in 2005 and 2006. After that, he had short spells at Kettering Town and Barton Rovers.
From 2007 to 2009, Zema played for Halesowen Town. In 2009, he returned to Arlesey Town, where he also became a player and assistant manager.
Becoming a Manager
First Manager Role
In June 2011, Zema Abbey became the first team manager at Arlesey Town. This was his first time leading a team as a manager.
Working with His Brother
In November 2013, Zema moved to St Neots Town. He became a joint manager there with his brother, Nathan Abbey.
Zema returned to manage Arlesey Town again in February 2015. He was a joint manager with his brother Nathan once more. They both left the club at the end of the 2017–18 season.
