Çukurova Media Group (also known as Çukurova Medya Grubu) was a big company in Turkey that owned many different media businesses. It was part of an even larger company called Çukurova Holding. In 2013, the company transferred many of its businesses to a government agency called TMSF. This happened because the company owed money to the government.

What is Çukurova Media Group?

Çukurova Media Group was a large collection of companies that worked in media. This included publishing newspapers and magazines, and broadcasting television and radio shows. It was a major player in the media world in Turkey for many years.

History of Çukurova Media

Çukurova Media Group grew over time by owning different newspapers, TV channels, and radio stations.

Around 2010, Çukurova Media Group faced some tough times with money. Because of this, they had to close down the newspaper Tercüman.

Television and Radio

Çukurova Media Group also ran several TV and radio stations. Their radio stations included Alem FM and Lig Radyo. Alem FM was one of the first private radio stations in Turkey. Both of these stations could be heard through satellite TV services and online. Alem FM broadcasted in many different areas across Turkey.

In 1992, the company started a TV channel called Show TV in Turkey. Later, they launched other channels like Skyturk in 2002. They also had international channels like ShowTurk and ShowMax TV. Another channel, ShowPlus, was available through a digital TV platform.
