Ľubomír Luhový (born on March 31, 1967) is a former footballer from Slovakia. He played as a striker and later became a manager. Luhový spent a big part of his playing career with FK Inter Bratislava. He also worked as a sporting director for Třinec.

Playing Career Highlights

Ľubomír Luhový played for several football clubs during his career. He was known for scoring goals. He played for FC Martigues in France during the 1991–92 season. This was in the French Ligue 2, which is a professional football league.

He also played for his country. Luhový represented the Czechoslovak national team twice. After Czechoslovakia split, he played nine times for the Slovak national team. He was a key player for FK Inter Bratislava over many years. He also played for teams like Urawa Reds in Japan and Grazer AK in Austria.

Becoming a Manager

After his playing days, Luhový started a new career as a football manager. His first managing job was with FC Nitra in 2003. He later joined Fotbal Třinec in the Czech 2. Liga on October 7, 2010.

In April 2012, he became the first-team coach for Třinec. The team finished 13th in the league that season. After that, Luhový took on a different role at the club. He became the sporting director, helping to manage the club's football operations. He also managed other clubs like Iskra Petržalka and Gabčíkovo.
