Żywiec Zdrój S.A. is a company in Poland that makes bottled water and other drinks. It is owned by a bigger company called Danone. The company's main office is in a town called Cięcina.
Żywiec Zdrój is famous for its bottled water. This water comes from a special source. It flows from the Abrahamów mountain ridge. This area is part of the beautiful Żywiec Landscape Park. The company started making drinks in 1992.

The Story of Żywiec Zdrój
How the Company Started
Two brothers, Mieczysław and Stanisław Bizoń, started the company. This was in late 1992. They worked hard to get all the needed permits. They also set up all the machines.
The very first bottle of still spring water was made on April 23, 1993. In the same year, Żywiec Zdrój also began making carbonated water. This is water with bubbles!
Growing Bigger and Better
The company grew very fast between 1994 and 2001. This was a time of many exciting changes. In July 1998, they opened a second factory in Strzeczno. Two years later, they started making bubbly water at a factory in Mirosławiec.
In 2001, Żywiec Zdrój joined the Danone group. Danone is a very large food and drink company. In 2005, another factory opened in Jeleśnia. That same year, Żywiec Zdrój also launched its first flavored drink. It was called Żywiec Zdrój Smako-Łyk. Then, in 2010, the company opened its fourth factory in Rzeniszów.
The Changing Logo
When Żywiec Zdrój first started, its label had a picture of Emperor Franz Joseph. He was a famous ruler linked to the Żywiec region. This was to show where the water came from. Over time, his picture became smaller on the logo. Eventually, it disappeared completely. The logo then focused more on the Abrahamów Hill.
