Ángel Fernández Pérez is a Spanish handball player. He was born on September 16, 1988. Ángel plays as a left wing for Limoges Handball. He is also a key player for the Spanish national team.
With the Spanish national team, he has won the European Championship twice. These victories happened in 2018 and 2020. Besides regular handball, he also enjoys playing beach handball.

Ángel Fernández's Handball Journey
Ángel Fernández started his handball career in his hometown. He played for a club called SDC Astillero. In 2006, he joined CB Cantabria and began playing in senior games.
Early Club Career
In 2008, Ángel left CB Cantabria because the club closed down. He then joined CD Torrebalonmano, a team in the 3rd league. In his first season there, his team moved up to the 2nd tier league.
In 2013, he moved to CBM Logroño La Rioja. With this team, he finished second in the league three times: in 2014, 2015, and 2016. He also helped them reach the cup final in 2017 and 2018. Ángel was chosen for the league's All-Star team three times during this period.
Playing in Poland and Spain
In 2018, Ángel joined Łomża Vive Kielce, a top team in Poland. Under coach Talant Dujshebaev, he won many titles. He helped the team win the Polish championship in 2019, 2020, and 2021. They also won the Polish cup in 2019 and 2021.
In the 2018-19 EHF Champions League, his team reached the Final Four. They played in the semifinal but lost to Telekom Veszprém.
In 2021, Ángel returned to Spain and joined FC Barcelona. This was a very successful year for him. He won the 2021-22 EHF Champions League and the 2021-22 Liga ASOBAL with Barcelona.
Current Club and Return Home
After a year with Barcelona, he moved to France in 2022. He joined Limoges Handball. He played for Limoges until 2024.
In 2024, Ángel made a big move back to his former club, CD Torrebalonmano. He signed a contract to play there until 2027.
Representing Spain: National Team Career
Ángel Fernández first played for the Spanish national team on April 29, 2015. His first game was against Germany.
His first major international competition was the 2017 World Men's Handball Championship. Since then, he has been a regular player for Spain.
