Talant's Amazing Handball Journey
Talant Dujshebaev was born in the Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic, which was part of the old Soviet Union. He started his handball journey playing for CSKA Moscow.
Olympic Gold and World Champion
In 1992, Talant played in the Olympic Games as part of the Unified Team. They won the gold medal! He was also the top scorer of the games, scoring 47 goals. He was even chosen for the tournament's "dream team." Just one year later, in 1993, he played for the Russian team at the World Championships. He won another gold medal there!
Playing for Spain
After the 1992 Olympics, Talant joined Teka Cantabria in Spain. A few years later, he became a Spanish citizen. He then played for the Spain men's national handball team for almost ten years. During this time, he won two Olympic bronze medals in 1996 and 2000. He also earned silver and bronze medals at the European Championships. Talant was recognized as the best player at the 1997 World Championship. However, he didn't win any World Championship medals with Spain, as they finished fourth in 1999 and 2003. Interestingly, when Spain finally won the World Championship in 2005, Talant was no longer on the team.

In 2001, after playing in Germany for a few years, Talant returned to Spain. He joined BM Ciudad Real and finished his playing career there in 2007.
